Minushi Press Release - Jun 27, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lone Filmmaker's Feature Length Animated Epic Selected by FanTasia Film Festival "Minushi" - an independent animated feature film written, drawn and animated by filmmaker Tyler Gibb - has been selected for screening at FanTasia, North America's premier genre film festival. MONTREAL, PQ - Jun 27, 2007 -- The FanTasia Film Festival's reputation is one of bringing exciting and innovative genre films into the spotlight and as such it is no surprise that "Minushi" - a sci-fi fantasy adventure film, entirely hand drawn, recorded and animated by one individual - would be a great fit for the event. Four years ago filmmaker and native Montrealer, Tyler Gibb, set out to accomplish a unique vision: To develop an independent feature film that would be released in segments on the internet concurrent to its production. The plan was to allow internet users and fans of independent filmmaking to actually see the movie's narrative unfold simultaneously to the production process. The project was called "Minushi" and the resulting 94 minute feature film will premier at FanTasia this year in Montreal. "Minushi" will be screened on Tuesday, July 10th, 2007 at 5pm at DB Clarke Theatre (1455 de Maisonneuve W., Montreal).
