FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Documentary Details Animated Feature Written, Drawn and Animated by a Lone Filmmaker

A documentary series that details the numerous stages of development filmmaker, Tyler Gibb, undertook to produce his masterpiece "Minushi" is being released online.

MONTREAL, PQ - Mar 21, 2007 -- Four years ago animated short producer, Tyler Gibb, shifted focus to concentrate his efforts on a single feature length animated film. Titled "Minushi," the film had a following of thousands of enthusiastic fans before it was even completed in January, 2007. In response to the constant influx of questions from fans and amateur animators alike the latest addition to the "Minushi" project is a series of eight, 5 to 10 minute documentary shorts in which Gibb details his methods.

"Minushi" was animated using the industry standard software for online animation "Macromedia's Flash." Concurrent to its production serialized segments of the film were released publicly online. With the popularity of "Flash animation" among amateur animators and its unique online distribution philosophy "Minushi" was quickly heralded as a milestone endeavour.

The web is a radically different place than it was four years ago. The popularity and ease-of-use of web-ready video is so prolific now that Gibb was jubilant at being able to offer a new supplement to the "Minushi" project in the form of a documentary called "Details: Making a Movie Called Minushi." In the spirit of the film that it catalogues, "Details" has been serialized and will be released in eight installments over the coming weeks through the official "Minushi" website Minushi.com. It will also be released to popular web-video portals including Revver.com and YouTube.com.
